Use and care
The French press is the easiest way to brew rich, aromatic coffee.
- Place the JAVA on a flat surface, hold the handle firmly and pull the plunger up and out of the carafe.
- Add one heaped teaspoon or one Bodum spoon of coarsely ground coffee per cup of water.
- Pour hot water (approximately 92-96 ºC) into the carafe, leaving at least 2.5 cm of space at the top, and stir with a plastic or wooden spoon.
- Place the plunger unit on the pot and turn the lid so that the spout is closed to retain heat.
- Let it steep for four minutes, then slowly lower the plunger. Turn the lid to open the spout and pour yourself your delicious cup of coffee.
- Before first use, wash in warm soapy water and dry thoroughly. All parts are dishwasher safe.
