11 COMPLETE MODES OF OBD2 FUNCTIONS
- Read Codes : Read the existing error code in the current control unit. (Application: Normally, an error lamp lights up in the vehicle's instrument panel, and the current error code can be read.)
- Clear Codes : Clear the trouble code in the current control unit. (Application: Perform this function when the car problem is resolved; the trouble indicator will go out. If the current error cannot be resolved, perform this function when maintenance is required.)
- On-Board Monitor Test : Retrieves and displays test results for emissions-related powertrain components and systems.
- Evap system test : The EVAP Test function allows you to initiate a leak test of the vehicle's EVAP system. This tool does not perform a leak test, but rather sends a signal to the vehicle's onboard computer to initiate the test. The vehicle manufacturer sets the standards and methods for terminating the test after it has started. Before using the system test function, please refer to the vehicle's service manual to determine the procedure required to terminate the test.
- O2 sensor test : Allows you to retrieve and display the O2 sensor monitor test results for the most recently performed tests from the vehicle's onboard computer.
- Freeze Frame Data Display: When the vehicle has a fault, a fault code is generated, and the freeze frame can be used to display the vehicle data at the time the fault code was generated. (Application: The maintenance technician judges the fault location based on the relevant data.)
- Read Live Data Stream : Reads and displays the live ECU/PCM data stream.
- Application: By observing these real-time data streams, maintenance technicians can gain an overview of the vehicle's overall performance and provide advice for vehicle maintenance.
- I/M Readiness Status: Indicates whether the vehicle's various emissions-related systems are functioning properly and are ready for inspection and maintenance testing.
- Read Vehicle Information : Display information such as VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), CID (Calibration ID) and CVN (Calibration Verification Number), etc.
- DTC Code Lookup : Detailed description of the DTC. Enter the 10.5-bit code to see the detailed definition of the DTC and display the diagnostic notes/solutions for the current DTC.
